Watershed Protection Agency

Schuyler County Public Health's Watershed Protection Agency provides water quality monitoring services and property transfer inspections for Schuyler residents. They lead the Lamoka-Waneta Lakes Wastewater Treatment Inspection Program and the Cayuta Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District Inspection Program. They also respond to complaints about public health nuisances that could impact the county water supply.

How much do your services cost?

Is payment due prior to service? 

Yes. Fees for all services must be paid in full before any work can be performed. If you are paying by check, it should be made payable to the Schuyler County Treasurer. 

When can I drop off water samples? 

Water samples can be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 8 AM - 11 AM. We are located at 910 S. Decatur St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891.
